I just have to ask. I am not a JW and have never been in a KH but what exactly does the Elders have to do? Based on this thread they are responsible for on average 100 members of the congregation. Based on other threads the meetings are completely outlined for them by HQ, everything they do is outlined for them for meetings which is 4 Sundays and 4 midweek meetings. Then of course I guess they have to do some "council" of wayward ones. Please help me understand why it takes so MANY men to Shepard so few flock. I really am trying.

It is like when the 2 Special Pioneers were at my door and after much discussion about the ARC which of course they had never heard of, not surprising. He stated he would not believe a single word of what was stated in a court of law. I stated these were JW who testified under oath. She stated you read the transcript. No, I watched the live broadcast and you can go on YouTube and watch it for yourself. These are all Jehovah Witnesses from Elders all the way up the line through Jackson. He stated I would not watch it or believe any of it.
I just give up these people are just buried in the sand, their minds are turned completely off. My 2 year old grandson has listens skills.

anyway when i first came here, that little picture that "the rebel" hides behind, was a self portrait of a very sad man, who simply had too much knowledge.
now i feel after 7 months here, i should repaint that " avetor" give some happiness to the eyes, and a contented smile to the lips.. in short my " avetor" was a self portrait of a man with too much knowledge.

Never a JW. I came here about 1 year 4 months ago to figure out what JW was all about other then those people who could not read the Absolutely No Soliciting sign at my front door and to figure out the sudden bizarre turn in behavior after 5 years in the "Elder". He never talked about his religion.
I have learned a lot on this site and jw facts. The ARC was the real eye opener for me. My heart goes out to each of you who have been hurt by this cult. For me I will be here to learn what is going on in the borg, how children and women continue to be abused. I appreciate the Sophie and Caleb videos being shown over here since I refuse to go to the official JW site. I find these videos to be emotional abuse and just reminds me that if I do encounter a JW that talking about ARC is extremely important.
I have suffered from a lot of abuse in my life so I advocate against both against children and women's abuse and neglect. This has made me a very strong and determined woman.

Bringing children into this System of Things.
by Nihilistic Journey inbefore i left a number of years ago i remember getting bombarded with the message that we shouldn't have children as it wasn't fair to them.
they would have to grow as conditions got worse during the end.
is there anything in the literature or was this just through talks.

I know for a fact that the "Elder" was hopping MAD at his son and dil because just before our blow up my son, his son, and my best gf daughter all announced within 1 week that all 3 of us were going to all be grandparents again. His comment was how could they possibly consider doing this when we are so close to the end of this system. Oh he was so mad, he ranted on and on. That was when he was also ranting continually about Satan like every other word. It was becoming obnoxious. These 3 kids are about to turn 2 years old. The end is Soooo soon. Just around the next corner. Yeap, said that 140 years ago too. -

Are speeding tickets issused in your area???
by James Mixon ini haven't seen anyone stopped for speeding on our freeways in some time.. wth it's dangerous out there, i'm driving 69-72 mph and someone pass me at 80-85 mph.. here in southern ca it,s crazy.
the speed limits are 65-70 mph.
i'am nervous as hell when i'am on the.

Neither does my 24 year old daughter, she finally got her SUV up to 50. Now her bf stole her keys saying have you seen her drive a car? My reply yeap that is why I always drive when we are always together. The really sad part is my gf attempted to teach her to drive, her report back to me after several attempts was some people are destined for public transportation. My gf is head of the regional FBI driver training center. Otherwise my daughter is a dean's list student with the biggest heart. -

James Mixon you should try I95 in VA during the summer on a weekend (not) ! Top speed from about 12 noon on Friday till some where around 10 pm Sunday is 25 mph most of the stopped just simply a parking lot. Traffic remains bumper to bumper. When I moved to Florida my son told his girlfriend I bet it will be awhile before mom gets used to driving on the interstate cause she is so used to avoiding them. LOL

can you imagine piercing some other human with a two edged sword ?

I agree with you. I do not believe in that part of the Bible. We should love all the children they are our future. All this hatred in the Bible toward children is just ugly. I am sure that is not God'said words.
